Soh Guan Chin (Joshua Yuan-Jin Su) (Revd. Dr.)
Founder & International President, The Joshua Mission

The Joshua Mission was founded by the Lord’s leading to serve in the prophetic ministry of the Word to make the Church ready for the Return of Christ.  The first tier of ministry is preaching, teaching, training, writing & related work. The Academy of Christian Studies was launched in 2016 as the new spearhead of this thrust.  The second tier of ministry is in establishing a global membership network of leaders & groups that is centred on the Word, supported by prayer and fellowship.  Thus the Mission operates as an international network of local & national groups built & centred on the Word & empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Our current network of pastors & leaders of churches and Christian ministries includes over a thousand members in India, about the same number in Nepal, about five hundred in Indonesia, over two hundred in Sri Lanka, with individual members in Singapore and other countries.  In 2016 a local network was started in Yangon, Myanmar.  In 2017 a local network was started in Lahore, Pakistan and in Jinja, Uganda.  We continue to grow by His enduring grace.

This Mission began life in 1992 in Singapore and Aberdeen, Scotland.  It was registered as a sole proprietorship in Singapore and as a charitable trust in Scotland.  I led this Mission full-time from mid 2003. From October 2014, as an arrangement with the Diocese of Singapore, I also hold an attachment with St. George’s Church as an Associate Priest.

My previous ministry included church-planting, serving on local church committees and the synod of the Diocese of Singapore as a lay leader.  After ordination in 1985 as an Anglican clergy, I oversaw different congregations and parishes in Singapore, served on the Theological Education Board, was an Examining Chaplain for ordination, and was briefly on the Board of Trinity Theological College.  I was an Associate Pastor with a local church while in Aberdeen and was an adviser to the Chinese Christian Fellowship in the city.  I had served as a lecturer & as Dean of Tung Ling Bible College. I continue to lecture, supervise or examine students in Bible colleges as invited.

My academic qualifications are Ph.D (Systematic Theology), University of Aberdeen; Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Trinity Theological College, Singapore; and Bachelor of Arts (BA), University of Singapore (now the National University of Singapore).

Prior to my full-time theological training in 1983, I was a business executive holding different posts in the shipping industry after completing my first degree.

My wife is Sherin (Sui Heng) & my two teenage sons are Joseph & Benjamin.
